One garment.
Its whole story.
This is the Tiered Lace Mini Dress from Fastigium, Garment Nº 1. Hold your phone to its label and this is what opens.
No app, no account. Just the piece, and everything that gives it its identity.
Softness, protected by structure.

Everything that gives this piece its identity, held in one place.
Five chapters, the same for every Physalia garment. What changes is what is written in them: each record belongs to one piece, and only that piece.

Who made it, and where.
Designed in our Vancouver studio, then cut, sewn and finished by hand. The passport names where this piece was made, the day it was completed, and the people whose work it carries.
Every maker’s role is always shown. Their name and portrait appear only if they choose.

The work that lives inside.
What you feel when you wear it is built before you put it on. For this dress: French seams that close every edge inside itself, tiers finished in a narrow bias binding, and a silk lining left free to move beneath the lace.
Techniques change from design to design. The passport names the ones this piece was built with.

What it is made of, and where that comes from.
Chosen not simply for what it is, but for how it falls, moves and ages. Each fabric is shown with its own swatch, its composition and its country of origin.

Made to remain.
A well-made garment should not be disposable. Its passport keeps exactly how to care for this piece, with a note in our own words.
Taking it to be cleaned? Its owner presses Clean. While it’s away, a tap shows only how to care for it, and it returns to its full record by itself.

Its story does not end at the sale.
The day it was created, the day someone chose it, and every chapter after. Its owner can keep her own moments in it, in her own words. Only she can open them.
And if one day it passes to someone else, its story goes with it, and a new chapter begins.
There may be many pieces in a collection. There is only one of yours.
